Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre is a landmark sporting facility where lighting performance is held to an exacting standard and precision is essential. Ayuh Studio delivered specialist architectural lighting design services for upgrades across the pool hall, developing a technically rigorous scheme to achieve world-standard competition and broadcast lighting levels through detailed photometric modelling.

The design responded to the exacting requirements of elite sport and televised events, ensuring the facility met the demands of both competition standards and broadcast camera systems. Each luminaire was meticulously coordinated within the existing architectural and structural framework, with precise aiming angles documented to support accurate on-site delivery. Ayuh Studio also prepared an operational brief to guide the programming of lighting scenes across the full range of use modes, from public swimming and training through to competition and broadcast use.

Working within an established built environment presented the defining challenge of the project.
