This residence is being transformed through a courtyard upgrade that creates a seamless outdoor living environment, anchored by a pool and firepit and designed to support both quiet evenings and relaxed entertaining. Ayuh Studio developed the lighting concept and detailed design documentation, and continues to provide assistance through construction, shaping a scheme that brings warmth, intimacy and clarity to the space after dark.

A restrained, low-level lighting strategy defines the courtyard with subtlety, allowing the atmosphere to remain grounded and inviting without overwhelming the architectural setting. Integrated pool lighting responds to the movement of the water, while a considered treatment to the feature wall introduces depth and creates a distinct focal point within the evening experience. Each element is carefully balanced to support comfort, visual softness and a strong connection between the built form and landscape.
