Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre is a landmark facility demanding the highest standard of lighting performance where precision is non-negotiable. The scope of involvement centred on delivering compliant competition and broadcast lighting levels for lighting upgrades across the pool hall through rigorous photometric modelling, ensuring the facility meets the requirements of both competition standards and broadcast camera systems. Each luminaire was carefully coordinated with precise aiming angles documented for the delivery team, alongside the programming of scenes to accommodate the full range of operational modes, from public swimming and training through to televised competition. Working within an existing built infrastructure presented the defining challenge of the project. Luminaire positions were resolved with precision to integrate seamlessly into the established architecture and structural grid, balancing ideal photometric outcomes against the realities of an operational venue.
