Griffith Residence
The residence called for the transformation of the entrance and front garden into a considered arrival experience, with lighting designed to provide passive security through atmosphere rather than intensity. Ayuh Studio delivered the lighting concept and detailed design development, shaping a scheme that integrates architectural and landscape lighting from the outset.
Light is carefully layered through built and planted elements to create warmth, depth and clarity after dark. Grazing across stone surfaces, animating planting and defining thresholds gives the entry sequence a quiet sense of presence that feels both welcoming and deeply connected to the home’s character. A flexible control system supports different modes of use, shifting from a more generous arrival scene for guests to a quieter everyday setting that maintains a subtle ambient glow.
The result is a front garden that reads as a cohesive composition at night: purposeful, inviting, and a natural extension of the residence.
